Bollywood star insists on sharing the spotlight in the next Delhi Belly film
Now that Delhi Belly is a certified box-office and critical success, the man with the Midas touch, Aamir Khan, is keen on exploiting its success by spinning a sequel with his item-dancer character taking on the lead role.
Titled Disco Fighter, it'll have his wife Kiran Rao as the writer-director and will also have the Delhi Belly boys - nephew Imran Khan, Vir Das and Kunal Roy Kapoor - playing an important part. "The boys will have an encounter with him. The details are still being worked out," a source revealed. While Aamir took on the part of Disco Fighter for the song I Hate You (Like I Love You), he believes there's immense scope for fleshing out his character.
Although Aamir wanted to start work on the sequel even before Delhi Belly hit the theatres, he was unsure whether such racy content would find many takers in Bollywood. And now that those fears are set aside, he's ready to take on the world with his ultra-cool retro disco hero.
