Abu Dhabi: Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy, will chair a UAE delegation attending the UAE-Japan Strategic Business Forum, which will be held in Tokyo from March 6-7.

The delegation includes more than 100 representatives of key government entities and major private sector investment companies.

Abdullah Al Saleh, Under-Secretary for Foreign Trade at the ministry, said the meeting falls within the context of UAE’s efforts to increase its presence in global markets, given the fact that Japan is one of the UAE’s key trading partners.

He stated that sessions and panel discussions will explore prospects for joint partnerships in a wide range of vital areas including innovation, SMEs, advanced technologies and industries, women’s empowerment and entrepreneurship and scientific research.

“The forum provides a fitting opportunity for UAE companies to access Asian market through Japan,” he added.
