The luxury hospitality brand, Raffles, will manage the hotel component of a new twin-tower project on the Palm. This follows an agreement signed by Nakheel, which will build the Palm360 towers, with AccorHotels, which owns the Raffles name.

Raffles has ben operating a property at the Wafi complex in Dubai for some years now. The Palm360 — which will be the tallest structure on the Palm — will thus be Raffles’ first beachside resort in the city. Raffles will also manage the residential tower forming one-half of Palm360. The towers — which will rise to about 260 metres — is scheduled to open in 2021.

Located on Palm’s 11-kilometre crescent Boardwalk, the Palm360 will be close to upcoming attractions such as The Palm Promenade, The Pointe and Nakheel Mall. Guests will have direct private beach access and specialised private beach club.

The deal was signed by Nakheel’s Chairman, Ali Rashid Lootah, and Sébastien Bazin, Chairman and CEO of AccorHotels, at the International Luxury Travel Market in Cannes on Tuesday.

The Palm360 will also have a 155-metre long sky pool connecting the towers at 170 metres above the ground. The hotel will have 125 rooms, while the 359 branded residences — including 16 penthouses each with their own infinity pool, gym and cinema — will be available for purchase. The residence owners will be able to access Raffles’ VVIP status through an exclusive Ownership Benefits Programme.

“Palm Jumeirah has quickly evolved into one of the most sought-after addresses in the world, offering the ultimate in luxury living and leisure,” said Lootah. “Palm360 will further enhance the island’s global appeal, which already attracts millions of visitors each year.”

Apart from the Palm360 project, Nakheel currently has 16 other hotels in its $1.3 billion hospitality expansion programme, which will deliver close to 6,000 rooms and hotel apartments across Dubai.
