Gulf News Web Sub Editor Samreen Hayat approached different people at Gitex Technology Week 2008 to find out their experience.

Zahra Lachhab
may be a promoter at Gitex, but the whole experience counts for a lot more, she said. "I really enjoy going to exhitions like Gitex because you get exposed to a lot of information and they are quite the learning experience," the first timer remarked, adding that the people and the environment are great.

Carsten Kress, Sales Director for mobile payment solutions company Paybox, is on his first trip to Gitex. "It's very good, very interesting. The flow of information is great," the German national, who is on his first trip to Dubai, said. So how is the weather treating him? "Well, it's too cold in the exhibition hall!" he joked. "It's good they held this in October, though."

Seventeen-year old Cindy Correia, is also on her first trip to Gitex. The Dubai-based Indian, who is working as a sales promoter for Smile Computers, is enjoying her time here so far. "It's pretty good," she said. How is the work treating you? "It can get tiring because we're here for 9-10 hours a day, and we only get ten minutes to quickly have our lunch!" But it definitely is worth it, the student at London City college added.
