Dubai: The UAE’s fourth Ritz-Carlton hotel opened its doors recently in Ras Al Khaimah, the company said in a statement on Sunday.

Following the management agreement signed in late 2016 with RAK National Hotels (RAKNH), a subsidiary of RAK Hospitality Holding (RAKHH), the Ritz-Carlton Ras Al Khaimah, Al Wadi Desert was officially flagged last week in the presence of representatives from both the owner and the operator.

Yannis Anagnostakis, CEO of RAKHH and member of the board of RAKHH and RAKNH, said in a statement: “We are thrilled to welcome this leading luxury brand to Ras Al Khaimah and we look forward to seeing it contribute to implementing the vision of the Emirate, bringing new standards for hospitality and best in class services to visitors of the region.”

The property is located on a 500-hectare wildlife nature reserve, and features 101 renovated luxury villas with private pools, which, according to the statement, offer “tranquillity, serenity and world-class service.”

With fully revamped on-site restaurants, the hotel offers guests and visitors several dining options. These includes the signature Farmhouse, which offers a menu inspired by local, quality produce, and Kaheela, a Levantine restaurant.

In keeping with the hotel’s surroundings, the hotel will also host the first Ritz-Carlton Equestrian and Adventure Centre for guests to experience the natural desert landscape on an organised horse trek through the nature reserve.

The opening of The Ritz-Carlton Ras Al Khaimah, Al Wadi Desert will shortly be followed by the official launch of The Ritz-Carlton Ras Al Khaimah, Al Hamra Beach in early 2018.
