Do you shop during DSS every year?

This would be my first year shopping during the summer season as I just moved to Dubai about a month ago. I was waiting for the Dubai Summer Surprises so I could look at cheaper furniture and household items. The sales right now aren’t the best in my opinion, but I’m hoping it gets better towards the end of the DSS season.
What major brands are you planning to buy during the sales?

I am keeping my eyes on shoes and T-shirts from designer brands that don’t have specific stores in Dubai but are selling in major outlets such as Harvey Nichols, Bloomingdale’s and Galeries Lafayette.
Are you looking for any big-ticket item this season?

I’m actually looking at upgrading my car to a BMW X6. I currently have a BMW X3 but I’d like to take full advantage of the mega-summer sales this season and treat myself to a new car!
Which mall(s) do you usually shop at?

I think I’ve lost count of the number of malls I visited since the start of DSS. I normally just go wherever the sales are on. For example, I went to Oasis Centre and Mall of the Emirates a few days back to shop at stores such as Timberland and Zara. And today I’m at Ibn Battuta Mall browsing the stores for deals.
What do you love most about the DSS?

The surprises! They never run out of surprises during these six weeks. As a fashionista, I probably have the longest list of brands that I look forward to shopping from. I love mixing luxury and high-street brands to create a cool yet elegant look! That’s why I love DSS!
