Beautyworld Middle East 2014 expects 76% surge in skincare and cosmetics exhibitors

Dubai: Beautyworld Middle East 2014, a trade exhibition that will be held between May 27 and 29 in Dubai, expects a 76 per cent increase in skincare and cosmetics companies this year compared to 2013.

Saudi Arabia and the UAE are the region’s biggest consumers of skincare products, which include facial care, hand care, depilatories and sun care products, according to a statement by the organisers, Epoc Messe Frankfurt, on Tuesday.

Consumers in the UAE are expected to spend $19.90 per capita on skincare products in 2017, compared to $15.90 they spent five years ago, according to the statement, sourcing data by Euromonitor International.
