Dubai: The UAE-India Property Show concluded its inaugural edition this weekend drawing enthusiastic participation from property seekers, investors, and real estate professionals.

Hosted by Gulf News, the event brought together a diverse portfolio of real estate offerings from across India and the UAE. From affordable apartments to waterfront penthouses and luxury villas, the exhibition featured projects spanning every budget and city tier. More than 700 visitors had the unique opportunity to interact directly with developers, eliminating the need for intermediaries and enabling fully transparent transactions.

Throughout the two-day event, attendees gained insights into emerging real estate trends in both India and the UAE by engaging with leading developers and industry experts. Key themes included evolving buyer preferences, shifting demand in second-tier cities, and investment strategies tailored for NRIs.

The show was inaugurated by Paras Shahdadpuri, Chairman of Nikai Group of Companies, alongside Vijay Vaghela, Interim CEO of Gulf News. Shahdadpuri hailed the event as a “great initiative” and highlighted the booming Indian property market.

He added that the Indian market is a safe bet for the next 50 years. “India is growing at a tremendous pace.

Additionally, many financial institutions, including banks and non-banking entities, are ready to provide financing, with repayment structured through EMIs. This is a great opportunity.”

Prime properties on show

With more than 20 top-tier developers from India and the UAE participating, visitors explored prime properties in Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Jaipur, Goa, and more - all under one roof.

From sprawling luxury villas to city apartments, the options were diverse and compelling. Visitors enjoyed one-on-one consultations with leading developers, instant booking options and attractive financing offers.

“We had a fantastic range of developers from across India offering both residential and commercial properties. There was a wide selection, from flats to luxury villas. It was a great event featuring top developers. In addition, we also had some prominent UAE-based developers and attractive financing options,” said Vaghela.

For Hameed Fayaz, Sales Manager at DP World, it was a valuable opportunity to do some well-needed market research to carry out his future plans.

He has been actively looking at investment opportunities both in Dubai and in his home state, Chennai. “Dubai is booming and with the new Al Maktoum International Airport coming up, it’s a good time for expatriates to invest in property so that they can get a good return on investment in the years to come,” he  said.

Sreenivasu Konda, Deputy General Manager, IT at Aries Group of Companies, attended the show to explore opportunities in commercial property in Hyderabad, India.

“We have a residential unit back home, so I want to diversify and invest in a commercial property,” said Konda. “I don’t want to run after maintenance and all that hassle. I want to invest and then forget. So I am interested in commercial properties that will give me a better return than the usual rental return of three per cent.”

Konda has been making investments in property through referrals and informal channels. He says events such as the UAE-India Property Show offer a professional setting to find out about the market first-hand.

Managing Director of Dubai-based Glaze Services, Shyam Agarwalla, who is also a small-time developer, found the UAE-India Property Show to be very useful. “There’s a good mix of exhibitors and it’s well organised and professionally managed,” he said.
