Nakheel makes a point with Dh66m dancing fountain

Dubai: Nakheel has awarded a Dh66 million contract for a choreographed fountain at The Pointe, its Dh800 million dining and entertainment destination on the Palm. China’s Beijing Water Design will deliver and operate the fountain, which will cover a 12,000 square metres at the tip of the island and across the bay from Atlantis The Palm. “The Pointe is an iconic, must-see attraction that adds a new dimension to the city’s dining, retail and entertainment scene,” said Ali Rashid Lootah, Chairman of Nakheel. “Today’s signing is a major milestone for The Pointe, as it means work on its centrepiece — the fountain — is now underway, and we are one step closer to delivering this eagerly anticipated destination.”
