Law prohibiting mortgaging, transferring ownership of government housing units in Fujairah

FUJAIRAH

A law that prohibits beneficiaries from mortgaging and transferring the ownership of government housing units and granted residential plots was issued in Fujairah on Tuesday.

Law No. 1 of 2017 also specifies the conditions for inheriting granted residential plots. An article in the law issued by His Highness Shaikh Hamad Bin Mohammad Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, also stipulates the responsibilities of various government bodies in ensuring the implementation of this law.
