Dubai: A land parcel in Dubai’s upscale La Mer South precinct has been listed for Dh160 million, and reportedly the ‘most expensive plot for sale’ in that location.

The plot dimensions come to just below 40,000 square feet, according to Eyal Ashur, who has quite a track record with pricey properties and plots in Jumeirah.

The wider La Mer development has seen significant price gains through the ongoing Dubai property boom, with recent deals for apartments and independent homes hitting new highs.

In May, news came out of two apartment deals at La Mer, with one of the units going for Dh164 million.

As for plots, along with those on Jumeira Bay island, those on La Mer too have firmed up appreciably. According to Ashur, “The costliest land deal to date at La Mer was for Dh80 million. It was a waterfront plot of 22,345 square foot and selling at Dh3,580 psf.

“The most expensive price per square foot achieved to date at La Mer was actually recorded recently, but for a smaller plot which is not waterfront. It went for Dh31 million at Dh3,816 psf.”

“La Mer South is fast becoming Dubai’s ultimate address for those looking to build their own beachfront legacy. These plots are rare opportunities – they’re not just listings, they’re statements.”

Current listings show La Mer South plots for Dh29 million and Dh30 million, while villas have asking prices of Dh50 million and going to Dh95 million.
