Dh5.5 billion Falcon City of Wonders unveiled

Construction of a Dh5.5 billion new project featuring the wonders of the world is due to start in Dubai in early 2006, it has been announced.

The Falcon City of Wonders, set in Dubailand theme park, will feature structures based on the wonders of the world, including the Pyramids, the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, the Eiffel Tower, the Taj Mahal, the Great Wall of China, the Leaning Tower of Pisa and the Light House of Alexandria.

There city will contain residential flats, hotels, offices, shops, apartments, restaurants and coffee shops.

"The project will effectively be a land of civilizations, creating an exotic ambience for visitors, while educating them about the culture, tradition and lifestyles of people from different ages." said Salem Al Moosa, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Falcon City of Wonders LLC.
