Abu Dhabi: Burjeel Hospital is set to open its doors in the first quarter of 2012.

With many US, UK and Europe-educated and trained doctors, the 202 bed Burjeel Hospital aims to bring a positive paradigm shift in the delivery of private health care in Abu Dhabi.

The tertiary care hospital will provide end-to-end comprehensive services in over 30 specialties and will operate multiple centres of clinical excellence.

Many of these clinical services will be provided by leading globally recognised hospitals and institutions.

Burjeel Hospital has already tied up with Brussels University, an acknowledged leader in research and treatment for reproductive science, to offer the latest services in reproductive ailments including IVF.

Comprehensive services

Brussels University will be setting up a special laboratory in Burjeel Hospital to provide comprehensive services in Abu Dhabi.

The hospital has also partnered with other institutes of a similar standard from Europe and America to provide the latest treatment and services in diabetes, orthopedics, cardiovascular-related areas and other specialties which can benefit the community.

With a facility size of almost 65,000 square metres and 202 beds, the hospital will be the largest private facility in Abu Dhabi.

"Burjeel Hospital's aim is to change how people view health, by not just offering the best in treatment, but inculcating the concept of wellness in their lives," said Dr Charles Stanford, CEO of Burjeel Hospital.
