DIC, DOZ sign up 181 new firms in 2013

Hewlett Packard, Dell and IBM Middle East have expanded their presence in the business parks last year

Dubai: Tecom Investments Dubai Internet City (DIC) and Dubai Outsource Zone (DOZ) signed up a combined total of 181 new companies in 2013.

The increase in tenants lifts the total number of businesses in Dubai Internet City and Dubai Outsource Zone to 1,600.

According to Tecom Investments, a subsidiary of Dubai Holding, its tenants include more than 60 per cent of software, hardware, internet services and information technology companies listed in the Fortune 500. Microsoft, Oracle, Dell and Facebook all maintain offices in the Tecom Investments ‘off-shore’ free trade zone area.
