DFM records gain as Abu Dhabi drops

Dubai: UAE markets ended mixed for the second straight session, with Abu Dhabi declining 0.35 per cent and Dubai advancing 0.25 per cent.

The DFM General Index closed at 1492.39 led by real estate stocks and banks. Among the gainers were Arabtec Construction, which soared 12.12 per cent to Dh1.48. Emaar Properties remained unchanged at Dh1.87. Emirates NBD advanced 1.54 per cent to Dh3.30. Dubai Islamic Bank however remained unchanged at Dh1.68.

The Abu Dhabi benchmark closed at 2201.18. Arkan Construction declined 4.94 per cent to end at Dh7.31 and Sorouh Real Estate lost 0.45 per cent to Dh2.20. Aldar Properties gained 0.90 per cent to Dh2.25 and etisalat remained almost flat, up a mere 0.10 per cent to close at Dh10.00. Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank remained unchanged at Dh1.42.
