Beijing: China’s securities regulator said on Sunday that the country’s central bank will provide liquidity support to China Securities Finance Corp, the state-backed margin finance company, through various channels.

The support will enable China Securities Finance Corp to expand its businesses and strengthen its ability to stabilise the stock market.

Meanwhile, more Chinese mutual funds said that they will invest to stabilise China’s stock market, following a statement by the China Mutual Fund Association on Saturday, in which 25 fund companies committed to buying shares.

As with that statement, the current statement does not give any specific figures or timeline for the investment.
