Qatar to keep Japan supplies steady

Qatar told Japanese buyers that it will leave October Qatar Land and Qatar Marine supplies unchanged from September, traders said yesterday. This means that Japanese term buyers will be receiving full contract volumes of both crude grades for lifting in October, unchanged from September. Supply notices to South Korean traders were not immediately available.

Williams in $154m expansion plan

Williams Cos, the No. 2 U.S. pipeline company, filed an application with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission for a $154 million expansion of its Northwest pipeline system into parts of Wyoming and Idaho. The 91-mile Rockies Expansion Project would increase Williams's capacity to transport customers' natural gas to markets in Idaho, Oregon and Washington, the company said in a statement. Six sections of new pipeline will be added, and modifications will be made to existing compressor stations, the company said.
