Expansion statement follows federal government removal of petrol subsidies

Dubai: The federal removal of retail petrol susbidies in the United Arab Emirates and a new monthly pricing strucutre is prompting Emirates National Oil Company (Enoc) to expand its retail petrol station network over the next five years.

Group Chief Executive Officer, Saif Al Falasi, said in an emailed statement on Wednesday the company will build new retail petrol stations and improve product quality.

The company will expand locally and regionally.

However, no further details were provided.
