Khurais oil field deal awarded
Riyadh: Saudi Aramco awarded Snamprogetti and a consortium led by Hyundai Engineering and Construction two contracts for oil and gas facilities in the Khurais field expansion plan.
A statement by the state oil firm did not give a value for the contracts. Saudi Arabia, the world's top oil exporter, plans to add 1.2 million barrels per day from Khurais by mid-2009.
The contract awarded to Italy's Snamprogetti covers inlet and outlet facilities to receive wet and sour crude through upstream trunk lines and construction of four crude processing and gas compression trains, Aramco said in the statement.
