Moscow City Tourism Committee launches Moscow Tea Time in Dubai across 15 cultural venues

The Moscow City Tourism Committee proudly announced the international debut of Moscow Tea Time in Dubai, bringing Russia’s storied tea-drinking heritage to the United Arab Emirates for the very first time. Running from April 20 to May 3, 2025, this cultural initiative will take place across 15 select restaurants in Dubai, offering an immersive journey into Moscow’s centuries-old tea traditions.

Originally introduced in Moscow in 2023, Moscow Tea Time pays tribute to the capital’s deeply rooted tea culture — a cherished social ritual that dates back to the 17th century. Historically enjoyed between 4 and 6 PM, Russian tea time evolved into a daily expression of warmth, hospitality, and meaningful connection, often centered around the samovar, the iconic metal urn that has long symbolized the Russian home.

Guests in Dubai will be invited to experience this tradition firsthand through specially curated tea sessions. Each venue will serve signature tea blends in refined porcelain tea sets, accompanied by traditional Russian treats such as baranki — ring-shaped bagels known for their unique texture — and the popular Moscow chocolates. The experience will be further enriched with embroidered linen napkins and thoughtful decor that reflect the elegance of 19th-century Moscow tea rituals.

Moscow Tea Time bridges the cultural richness of the past with the present-day global audience, offering Dubai’s residents and visitors a unique opportunity to engage with Russian heritage in an authentic and memorable way.
