AVY Foods, (a division of Next Information Systems Private Limited), an India-based company part of Sri Krishna Group, has signed an agreement to open 20 FiLLi stores in Tamil Nadu. The first location will open at in Chennai's Ashok Nagar, followed by a second location in Coimbatore. Sri Krishna Group is headquartered in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.
Although Tamil Nadu may be stereotyped as a hub for its filter kaapi, dosa and Carnatic music, government statistics reveal that tea is the preferred beverage, outpacing coffee by a significant margin. Tea shops are a common meeting place on bustling street corners, revitalizing pit stop on highways, or even a breathing space in a market and is a ubiquitous part of Tamil culture. With the launch of FiLLi Zafran, Tamil Nadu residents can now enjoy their favorite Tea blends and snacks in a trendy and fashionable atmosphere, making it the perfect spot for Gen Z or young adults to hang out with friends. Tea is the drink of choice for both rural Tamilians and urban residents of Tamil Nadu.
