Followed by the success of Deepavali Utsav celebrations spread over the last decade, Team Deepavali Utsav-2021 announces its mega cultural bonanza - Deepavali Utsav-2021, which will be held on Friday, October 29, 2021 from 3pm to 6pm at the Dubai Expo 2020 site.
The central theme for FOI this year is ‘let the vibrant lights be our guide’ with the event being supported by the Consulate General of India & the PIOCCI . His Excellency the Consul General of India and other dignitaries from the Dubai Police will inaugurate the event at the Dubai Millennium amphitheater. Consulate General of India, Dubai wishes all the best for Deepawali Utsav!!
This year’s event will take place at 2 locations at the Expo site with both venues being easily accessible and within walking distance to each other. The itinerary will include a Rangoli display and traditional Indian games, which will run from 3p to 6pm at the India Pavilion amphitheater. FOI Events will also run a virtual Rangoli competition (an Indian folk art form) ahead of the event wherein the top performers will get to display it at the event.
Simultaneously, the audience will be able to enjoy and witness beautiful cultural dances from different states of India between 4pm and 6pm at the Dubai Expo Millennium amphitheater. The Dubai Police band will also join hands with the event to play the national anthem of both the UAE and India at both venues inside Dubai Expo.
Visitors to this event will need to buy an entry ticket to Dubai Expo or already have an existing pass to enter. As per protocol, they will need to provide their proof of vaccination on the DHA / Al Hosn app OR their printed vaccination card.
