Dubai: The National Takaful Company (Watania) has launched a customer portal to underwrite policies and allow them to get a policy online in “less than 4 minutes”.

“Providing easy and efficient access to customers to buy an insurance policy backed up with hassle-free fast claim settlement forms the core of the strategy,” said Gautam Datta, CEO of Watania.

“Our digital transformation was built around this strategy, and COVID-19 drove us to fast-track the process. We believe that with the launch of our Myconnect portal we will come out stronger to fulfill our promise to deliver fast, efficient, and competitive service to our customers.”

As part of the launch offer, the insurer is providing 15 per cent discount on all motor products.

“We are glad that the work team did for the last two years following our CEO’s vision for digital transformation has reached its second phase,” said Martin Sebastian, Head of IT at Watania Insurance.

“Last year, we launched a comprehensive partner portal and now this. All these built on a common platform with rating and rule Engine and tightly integrated with our core insurance system using middleware tool.”
