Dubai: Noor Bank on Wednesday announced the departure of Hussain Al Qemzi from his position as Managing Director of Noor Bank, effective October 31, 2017.

Hussain Al Qemzi was CEO of Noor Bank from its inception in 2008 until June 2017 when he became the bank’s first Managing Director.

“Since Noor Bank was established in 2008, it has developed into one of the leading Islamic banks of the UAE under the leadership of Hussain Al Qemzi. I would like to place on record my deep appreciation of Hussain’s energy, dedication and leadership in building Noor Bank from its inception to the strong, innovative A-rated bank that it has become today,” said a spokesperson for the Noor Bank Board.

The bank recently appointed a new CEO, John Iossifidis. “I am confident that our CEO John Iossifidis will build on this legacy and ensure that Noor Bank continues to be at the forefront of the UAE banking industry as an innovative Sharia-compliant bank committed to delivering the highest quality banking experience to our customers,” the spokesperson said.
