Apicorp partners with Goldman Sachs

Partnership to see the two invest in private equity energy assets

Dubai: The Arab Petroleum Investments Corporation (Apicorp) has inked an agreement with Goldman Sachs, the multinational investment bank, to create an investment vehicle targeting global energy co-investments, Apicorp announced on Sunday.

The new project, established in partnership with Goldman Sachs’ West Street Capital Partners VII funds, is expected to make private equity investments in a diversified, global portfolio of energy assets, according to the statement.

Several key figures from both Apicorp and Goldman Sachs were in attendance at the signing, including Raed Al Rayes, Deputy Chief Executive and General Manager of Apicorp.
