ADCB to adopt Network services
Network International, a payment card service provider and part of Emirates Bank Group, recently signed two agreements with Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) to provide smart card personalisation and merchant processing services.
Network International, a payment card service provider and part of Emirates Bank Group, recently signed two agreements with Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) to provide smart card personalisation and merchant processing services.
The merchant proce-ssing deal caters to EMV acquiring capabilities at ADCB's point of sale terminals, hosting of merchant accounts and payments facilities.
EMV refers to the specifications issued by EMVCo, covering the operation of smart and payment cards.
The entire back office service needed for merchant processing is handled by the region's leading EMV-certified payment card solution provider, Network International, for all ADCB merchants based in the UAE.
The smart debit card agreement signed by ADCB means that Network International will provide personalisation of un-embossed MasterCard chip cards.
This will enable ADCB to issue smart cards to all its account holders in the shortest possible time. Network will also look after the card renewal and replacement needs of ADCB customers.
A bank spokesperson said, despite offers from several international vendors, ADCB awarded the projects to Network as it had confidence in the company's potential and capability to deliver.
