Dubai: The aviation firm DAE (Dubai Aerospace Enterprise) is buying 10 new Boeing 737-9s from United Airlines.

The UAE company has also entered long-term leases on these aircraft that will be delivered between next month and February 2026.

"Today’s announcement of the purchase-lease back agreement of 10 Boeing 737-9 aircraft follows our recent acquisition of an Airbus A321neo on lease to United," said Firoz Tarapore, CEO of DAE.

This 'reflects our continued commitment to the North American market'.

Part of the Boeing 737 MAX family, the single-aisle aircraft carry CFM International LEAP-1B engines. They reduce fuel use and emissions by 20% compared to jets it replaces.

DAE is 'committed to own or manage a total of 750 aircraft, including 225 from Boeing'.
