Dubai: Air Arabia, the Middle East and North Africa’s largest low-cost carrier, launched a new direct route connecting Sharjah to Munich, Germany.

Starting December 15, 2025, the airline will operate daily non-stop flights every week between Sharjah International Airport and Munich International Airport, enhancing connectivity between the UAE and southern Germany.

The addition of Munich marks a significant milestone in Air Arabia’s ongoing European expansion strategy. With its status as one of Germany’s key economic and cultural hubs, Munich is expected to attract both business and leisure travelers from across the region.

“The launch of our new non-stop service to Munich marks another important step in expanding our European network from the UAE,” said Adel Al Ali, Group Chief Executive Officer of Air Arabia. “This new route reflects our continued commitment to delivering affordable, value-driven travel options while advancing our long-term growth strategy.”

Expanding European destinations

Munich joins an expanding list of European destinations served directly by Air Arabia from the UAE, including Vienna, Athens, Milan Bergamo, Krakow, Warsaw (Chopin and Modlin), and Prague. The new route is poised to support tourism, business travel, and trade between the two regions.

Passengers flying on the new route will travel aboard Air Arabia’s modern Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft. The airline offers a range of onboard amenities including SkyTime, a free in-flight streaming service, and SkyCafe, its buy-on-board menu. Travelers can also earn rewards through Air Rewards, the airline’s loyalty program.

Bookings for the Sharjah–Munich route are now open through Air Arabia’s website, call center, and partner travel agencies.
