Manny Pacquiao joins Miss Universe judges

World boxing champ and TV host Manny Pacquiao has confirmed the news that he will sit as one of the judges at the Miss Universe pageant that will be held next month in the United States.

Pacquiao will be the seventh Filipino to join the judging panel of the prestigious beauty pageant, after noted politician Carlos P. Romulo and former Miss Universe Gloria Diaz (in 1974 in Manila, Philippines); fashion designer Josi Natori (in 1989 in Cancun, Mexico); singer Kuh Ledesma (in 1991 in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA); Filipino media mogul Emilio Yap (in 1994 in Manila, Philippines); and Lea Salonga (in 2011 in Sao Paolo, Brazil).
