Sharjah: Cairo-based Arab Contractors eliminated Kuwait’s Al Arabi on penalties to be crowned champions at the end of the Second Reach Target U-14 Junior Football Tournament that ended late on Tuesday.

After being tied goalless at the end of regulation time, the Egyptians scored from their first four attempts, while their goalkeeper managed a couple of saves that saw the encounter end 4-2 in their favour, landing them the title.

Meanwhile, Sharjah Stars took third place with a 5-4 win over Dubai Club in the play-offs. Mohammad Obaid gave Sharjah the lead in the ninth minute but Yousuf Ebrahim drew level for Dubai Club in the 15th minute. After regulation period could not break the deadlock, it was Sharjah Stars who proved to be better shooters.
