6 shopkeepers held for selling kites in Faisalabad

Faisalabad: Police have arrested six shopkeepers for selling kites and recovered more than 700 kites from their possession.

Faisalabad police said on Saturday that, after a special directive, a crackdown was launched against kite-flying across the district.

During the operation, police arrested shopkeepers Zaheer and Ali from Chak No. 203-RB, Afzal from Addan Mannanwala, Ahmad Nadeem, Sarwar from Hockey Stadium area and Mehroz from Sahib Khan Chowk along with more than 700 kites and other paraphernalia.

The police locked the accused behind bars.
