Dubai: In the run-up to this weekend’s military demonstration, Sharjah Police have released new videos on what residents can expect to see near Al Khan Corniche at 4.30pm.

The UAE Armed Forces are continuing their preparations for the second edition of Union Fortress, the largest-ever live military demonstration, which will take place on November 3.

On its official Twitter account, Sharjah Police have posted two videos that showcase the capabilities of the armed forces, equipment and training to defend national interests and national security.

The exercise aligns with the vision of the UAE leadership to highlight the major role of the armed forces in safeguarding the security of the country.

This is the second edition of the Union Fortress exercise, as the first military drill was held last March on Abu Dhabi Corniche.

Authorities have urged the public to follow the specific routes to reach the designated parking the recreational village areas.

The organising committee also emphasised the importance of not approaching or gathering at the prohibited military zones shown on the map below.

Admission to the event is free. The event is open to the public and no registration is required.
