Abu Dhabi: The Ministry of Labour has announced that Tuesday, December 2, will be a paid holiday for private sector workers on the occasion of the UAE National Day.

The order was announced in a circular by Saqr Gobash, the UAE Minister of Labour, according to the official news agency WAM.

The country marks the 43rd anniversary of its founding with nation-wide festivities and a non-working holiday.

Gobash extended his heartfelt congratulations to President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and Their Highnesses Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates, and people of the UAE on the occasion.

Public sector workers will get a longer holiday.
