Abu Dhabi: Dr Sultan Ahmad Al Jaber, Minister of State and Group CEO of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc) yesterday (Tuesday) received Rick Perry, US Secretary of Energy, who is currently on a visit to the UAE to participate in the US-UAE strategic energy dialogue.
The meeting touched on ways to enhance joint cooperation in the energy sector and partnership opportunities in the field of exploration, development, production, gas, refining and petrochemicals.
Later, Perry visited Adnoc, and acquainted himself with Adnoc’s plans for exploring, evaluating and developing unconventional sources of gas in Abu Dhabi.
Al Jaber said that Perry’s visit to Adnoc reflects the importance of the partnership with US companies operating in the energy sector, which contributed to bolstering strategic economic cooperation between the UAE and US due joint investment opportunities that serve mutual interests.
