Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa) announced it has received 18 bids for a long-term project to supply, install, test, and launch 25 substations. The utility has awarded contracts worth Dh1.2 billion for 15 132/11kV substations. The 132-kilovolt substations will meet the growing demand for electricity in Dubai, and fill the needs of development, economic, and social projects, Dewa stated. It added that the project is in line with its plan to increase the efficiency of transmission networks to meet economic growth.
