Abu Dhabi: Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA) has appointed Mohammad Al Ahbabi as acting CFO effective from Thursday. Al Ahbabi who is currently the deputy CFO, will replace Grant Gillon, according to a statement by TAQA.
“Mohammad’s previous success as CFO of an Abu Dhabi government entity, experience from leading TAQA’s recent $1 billion (Dh3.67 billion) bond offering and being actively involved in the functioning of the finance department during the past year places him well for this role,” said Saeed Hamad Al Dhaheri, TAQA acting COO.
Al Ahbabi started his career at Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Oil Operations (ADCO). He joined Abu Dhabi Ambulatory Healthcare Services Company in 2009 where he held the position of CFO before joining TAQA as deputy CFO in January 2016.
