Abu Dhabi: Ministry of Energy and a number of national oil companies operating in the UAE will participate in 11th Middle East Geosciences Conference and Exhibition in Manama, Bahrain.

The four-day event will be held at Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre under the patronage of Prince Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Dr Mattar Hamed Al Neyadi, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Energy will lead the UAE delegation, which includes a number of officials from the Department of Geology and Mineral Resources at the Ministry and other national oil companies operating in the country.

Started in 1994, the GEO exhibition is the premier showcase of oil and gas exploration technology and services in the Middle East, attracting NOCs, IOCs and major operating companies.

Regular high profile international exhibitors include super majors Chevron, ExxonMobil, Shell and Total and service industry giants BGP, CGGVeritas, Halliburton, Occidental Petroleum Corporation, Schlumberger and Weatherford.
