Vienna: The International Gas Union (IGU) and the International Energy Forum will organise a ministerial meeting in which CEOs from leading energy companies worldwide will be invited to speak.

The objective of the forum is to enhance the dialogue among governments, organisations and the players in the gas industry, according to a press release by IGU.

The title of the forum is ‘The role of Natural Gas in a Sustainable Energy Future' and it will address key issues regarding the role of natural gas in a low carbon future, a topic which also will be highlighted during and IGU Natural Gas Symposium on December 5 in Cancun, Mexico, during the UNFCCC Climate Change Conference (COP16).

The Ministerial Gas Forum will take place on November 30 in Doha, Qatar.

The meeting will be attended by invitation only and will be held behind closed doors.
