The Abu Dhabi Oil Refining Company (Takreer) yesterday announced it awarded a Dh1.47 billion engineering, procurement and construction contract to Dodsal Pte Ltd for its Inter-Refineries Project (IRP).

"The project will secure the transfer of intermediate and final oil products between Takreer's Ruwais and Abu Dhabi refineries and the Mussafah terminal, fulfilling the vital local market products demand needs," an official statement said.

Completion is scheduled for fourth quarter 2007.

The contract takes Dodsal's order book to Dh2.9 billion with an additional Dh2.6 billion of orders expected by third quarter 2005.

The UAE-headquartered Dodsal has gone up the value chain by transforming itself into a major EPC player on the international scene in the energy and infrastructure sectors.

Dodsal is also pursuing build, finance and operate contracts for power plants and airports in North Africa, Middle East and India.

This transformation ensures achieving an annual turnover of Dh3.7 billion from financial year 2006-07 onwards.
