Death toll hits 65 in Libya’s eastern strife

Banghazi: A Libyan official says fighting in the eastern city of Benghazi between Islamist militias and pro-government fighters has left 65 people dead as fierce battles continued for a sixth day.

The official says the death toll includes all those killed since a pro-government offensive began on October 15. He spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorised to speak to the press.
