Abu Dhabi: Algeria’s Special Criminal Court sentenced Fred Aiken to 28 years in prison on Wednesday, after he was found guilty of attacking policemen with a hammer and wounding one of them in Paris in June 2017, after declaring his allegiance to Daesh.

The 43-year-old Algerian former student was also banned from entering France indefinitely.
