Al Jarwan praises Khalifa for Syria help

Cairo: The head of the Arab Parliament, a committee of parliamentarians from Arab League states, Ahmad Mohammad Al Jarwan has hailed President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s initiative for allocating $5 million (Dh18.3 million) in urgent humanitarian aid for the Syrian refugees in Jordan, affected by the snow and cold wave in the region. He called upon the Arab and Islamic leaders to extend humanitarian support for the displaced Syrians on the Syria-Jordanian, Syria-Iraqi and Syria-Turkish borders particularly Al Zatari Camp in Jordan where refugees are facing death due to freezing temperature and dire climatic conditions.

The AP head in a statement said that Arab Parliament committees recently visited the displaced Syrian’s camps and recommended urgent humanitarian assistance for the refugees.
