Dubai: Saudi security authorities have arrested a gang for their involvement in a series of house burglaries in Riyadh, local Saudi media reported on Monday.
The gang members involved in 12 break-ins in the capital where they stole valuable items and jewellery. The Riyadh Police received information about a gang specialised in breaking into houses and villas in Riyadh.
A police squad was formed to track down the gang members and managed to arrest them and recover the stolen items and jewellery.
Upon investigation, the suspects confessed to the crime. They were referred to the Public Prosecution for legal action.
The suspects have been detained pending trial.
