Cairo: Saudi prosecutors have finalised a probe with a ring accused of setting up porn accounts on social media to lure youth to an apartment and blackmail them, local media reported.

Investigations showed that the ring had set up a prostitution den, promoted it online and enticed youth to come to the place where they are robbed and forcibly filmed in immoral positions to use the footage to blackmail them.

Tough penalties

The ring comprises three members, who admitted to the charges levelled to them. Prosecutors are expected to demand tough penalties against the defendants whose nationality was not disclosed.

Public prosecution said that in cooperation with the competent agencies it follows up and monitors acts that violate religious and public morality, and vowed to seek the toughest penalties against perpetrators.
