Oman’s sultan pardons 797 inmates
301 foreigners included in the royal clemency marking Eid

Cairo: Oman’s Sultan Haitham Bin Tariq has pardoned 797 inmates convicted in different cases on the occasion of Eid Al Fitr, the Omani news agency reported Thursday.
The pardoned prisoners include 301 foreigners, the agency said without specifying their nationalities or offences.
“The royal pardon is timed with the occasion of the Blessed Eid Al Fitr and reflects care for families of those inmates,” ONA added.
