Three of family charred to death in Kuwait road crash

Dubai: An Egyptian man watched helplessly as a fire burnt his wife and two children to death after their vehicle collided with a car in Kuwait on Monday.

The Egyptian man had brought his wife, 30, and their sons, aged three and one, on a visit visa to Kuwait to spend their summer holidays.

The family’s vehicle collided with a car driven by a Kuwaiti citizen, and the vehicle caught fire instantly, Al Sabq reported.

“Firefighters put out the blaze and took out three charred bodies from the wreckage of the vehicle,” a police source was quoted by Al Sabq as saying.

“Paramedics rushed the father who collapsed at the scene to Mubarak Hospital for treatment. Medical examination showed that he was in an unstable condition,” the source said.

Police detained the car driver who may face charges of causing the accident and deaths of three persons.
