Friends and relatives leave flowers at the scene
London : A girl of 16 was killed by a train as she tried to rescue her dog from the railway line.
Natasha Elliott was knocked down after the family pet wandered on to the tracks 500 yards from her home.
The dog, believed to be a German shepherd called Zeus, survived but Natasha was pronounced dead after being taken to hospital by ambulance.
The tragedy occurred on Sunday evening as she walked with her boyfriend near her home in Morley, Leeds. The dog strayed close to Morley Station. On Monday more than 30 bunches of flowers were left near the scene by friends and relatives. Natasha was due to take her GCSEs in the coming weeks.
