Manila: President Gloria Arroyo said the new and third terminal at Ninoy Aquino International Airport in suburban Pasay City, will soon accommodate 28 international flights per day.

"The airport will be the gateway to our country from the rest of the world," said Arroyo when she arrived at terminal III, from Cebu City in central Philippines. Next month, the airport's new terminal will accommodate international flights of Cebu Pacific, in China, Macau, Hong Kong, Thailand and Singapore sectors, Arroyo said.

"It is our showcase for tourism and economic progress. Today's commercial opening is a result of our resolve and determination to move this nation forward," Arroyo said, adding hat flights to the United States and Canada will be fully operational by February next year.
