Sharif to attend meeting on terror fight
Islamabad: Nawaz Sharif, Pakistan's key opposition leader, plans to attend next week's meeting called by Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani to develop a policy on fighting Taliban militants.
"We want politicians to help the government in forming a comprehensive policy on tackling," the insurgency, Siddiq-ul-Farooq, a spokesman for former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's Pakistan Muslim League, said by telephone from Islamabad on Friday.
The meeting is scheduled to be held in Islamabad on May 18.
