Kochi, Kerala: A shocking case of suspected suicide has emerged from the customs quarters in Kakkanad, Ernakulam, where three family members were found dead under mysterious circumstances on Thursday. Local media reported that the bodies were discovered in a decomposed state inside their residence.
The deceased have been identified as Manish Vijay, an Additional Commissioner with the GST department, his sister Shalini Vijay, and their mother Shakuntala Agarwal.
Originally from Jharkhand, Manish Vijay had been absent from work for four days, prompting concern among his colleagues. When repeated calls went unanswered, his office staff decided to visit his residence, only to be met with a horrifying sight. They found all three bodies hanging inside the house and immediately alerted the Thrikkakara police.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the deaths may have occurred two days prior to their discovery. Authorities are considering the possibility of a family dispute as a contributing factor.
